Kevin Haffenden (Head Coach)

Kevin Haffenden is a dedicated head coach known for his active role in developing young table tennis players, especially through mentoring young ambassadors and coaching at Rye College and other local schools and venues. Kevin Haffenden serves as a head coach supporting youth table tennis development at Rye College and the surrounding community. He plays a central role in programs that encourage young players, including "Young Ambassadors" who volunteer in coaching and club activities to foster a positive environment for new and younger members. He has been praised for his commitment to nurturing talent and leadership skills among youth players. For example, he has closely mentored Sean Lane, a Young Ambassador who has volunteered over 50 hours assisting with coaching and skills development under Haffenden’s guidance. Kevin has acknowledged Sean's growth from a young player into a role model, highlighting his important role in both coaching and supporting club initiatives. Kevin's coaching extends beyond technical skills, focusing also on leadership, confidence, and teamwork among the younger generation.
