Table Tennis Rother Junior Academy

Our new Junior Academy has been set up to provide additional opportunities for young people to develop their potential whether if be as a player, official or a coach. Any young person who attends one of our school satellite clubs, commumity youth table tennis clubs or our main community clubs, can apply for a places. Once accepted our Junior Academy students will have their progress monitored and will work in partnership with our coaches and leaders to develop a pathway to develop their skills and increase their opportunities. Our Head Coach will develop a plan for each student which fits in with their other commitments such as school work and other commitments, working with them to help them achieve their goals. Players from within the Academy will form the backbone of Team Rother, our National Cadet & Junior Leader teams, as well as our future leaders, coaches and young officials. To gain a place a young person must show commitment to their club and the sport. Players identified by our coaches will be offered a chance to join or can apply directly if they feel they wish to have a place. All players, subject to spaces being available, will be considered. Intially places will be limited to ensure a quality experience but as time goes by the number of places will be increased so any one who is unsuccesfful initially can re apply at a later date or will be contacted once affitional places become available. As we are currently recruting our first batch of students any current member is welcome to apply. If you have already shown an interest you will be contacted during January.
