Rye College Link Club
Table Tennis the Way You Like It
The after school Satellite Link Club at Rye College provides a light hearted, but structured
introduction to the sport of table tennis. The session is led by an experienced and licenced Table
Tennis England Coach who would be delighted to answer any questions you may have.
Sessions are aimed at all students who are encouraged to develop their skills whilst having fun.
Structured sessions include Coaching, Fun Games, Light heart competitions, skills and attendance
awards to name but a few.
Students are also able to take leadership awards if they are interested.
Our specially developed Skills Awards allow students to develop their skills and understanding of
the sport. These include both on the table as well as off the table activities. Once students
complete an award they are presented with a certificate to mark their achievement. Students have
the option to have these presented during the sessions as well as in a schools assembly.
For Students who develop a real interest and passion for the sport additional opportunities are
available. These include representing their school in the East Sussex Schools Events, both as a
school team and as an individual, or events organised by Table Tennis Rother from time to time,
including access to the National Cadet and Junior Leagues
For students wishing to go a step further we can provide access to our increasing number of
Junior Community Clubs as well as proving opportunities to compete at local, regional and
national levels. Many of our leading juniors both past and present have made this step , many
having attained a Table Tennis England National Rating.
