Junior Leadership Award

Our new Junior Leadership Award is especially for those those in Year 8
or 9 who either attend one of our after school or satellite clubs.
Our Junior Table Tennis Leadership Award will help you to develop
some valuable leadership skills which will prove valuable in later life, as
well as developing your skills and knowledge if the sport.
The Award involves completing a number of activities which you can do
in your own time during sessions and at home. There is no time limit to
complete the activities apart from the age factor. If all activities are not
completed by the end of year 9 a grace period will be granted.
Like most sports , Table Tennis consists of a number of opportunities
including coaching, officiating such as being an umpire or referee,
organisng events such as tournaments as well as sports development.
During your course you will experience all these aspects of the sport
through the tasks given to you. You may well find the experience of
taking the award useful if you decide to take GCSE PE as an option and
table tennis as one of your individual sports.
Once you have completed the award you will become an official Table
  Tennis Rother Junior Leader.
Other awards can be taken after this course, depending on your age at
the time, such as the Table Tennis Networker Award, Young Officials
Award and perhaps ,once you have reached 16, you might consider
taking the UKCC Level 1 in Table Tennis Coaching Qualification and
  joining our coaching team.
