Emily takes East Sussex School Crown

Little Common School Year 6 pupil Emily has retained her East Sussex Schools’ U11 Girls title. Emily will go on to the National Schools Individuals FInals where she will represent East Sussex. In the Boys event Oliver C reached the Semi Final stage after defeating fellow Little Commoner Oliie M. Callum V also reached the quarter finals where he gave a good performance. Well done to all four players who took part and good luck to Emily in the English Schools Finals .

New Satellite Club at Claverham

Table Tennis Rother is delighted to announce that Table Tennis England have agreed to provide funding for the setting up of a new satellite club at Claverham in Battle. The Club will commence in November and are aimed at 11 to 16 year olds. Sessions will provide a light hearted introduction to the sport with a mixture of social play, fun and coaching . Full details and promotions will commence in the coming days.

Table  Tennis Rother Appoints Young Ambassadors

We are pleased to announce that we are currently in the process of appointing a team of young ambassadors. These young players will play an important role in shaping the future direction of Table Tennis Rother by helping to develop and share new ideas, In addition they will provide valuable feedback from the other young players in their various sessions. A Young Ambassador will be appointed for each of our club venues.

Special Welcome to All Saints C of E Primary

All Saints C of E Primary have agreed to work in partnership to bring the sport of table tennis to its pupils. Table Tennis Rother will provide access to its expertise to provide an extra curricula club, training for leaders and staff to provide access at lunch breaks as well as before school. Pupils will also have the opportunity to play in matches againts our other partner schools as well as taking part in next years East Sussex Schools events. As pupils progress they will also be given access to our Satelitte Club based at Bexhill Academy which is just around the corner . All KS2 pupils have also taken part in a Table Tennis Fesitval at the school as a way of introducing the sport to them.

Battle Junior Banded Event a Great Success

A total of 32 competitiors entered the Battle Junior Banded Event held at Battle Area Sports Centre on 25th March. THe young players competed in one of 4 banded events with the day divided into two competitions, morning and afternoon. Each band consisted of players of similar experience ensuring that all competitors had  some close and exciting games. All events consiisted of group play throughout resulting in maximum experience for all the young    developing players taking part.                                                                                                     More…..

Successful Season for Team Rother at NJL 2017/18

Team Rother’s ‘A’ Team ended the 2017/18 season with a note of success. The team, consisting of Dan Lane, Jacob McCarthy, Sean Lane and Tristan Hyland completed a highly competitve season to take the runners-up spot in Division 2 of the SE Regional event in Tunbridge Wells. Full Report……….
